
The ceiling document camera mount is designed to provide a clean looking
recessed camera mount with a slide out internal mounting tray for camera
servising. The camera housing is constructed of welded steel for durability
and is finished with a white powder paint The front view of the mount
consists of a small outside return flange and large service door frame.
The service door holds a piece of the ceiling material, enabling the
unit to blend into the finished ceiling. The camera looks through a trimmed
opening in this ceiling material.
Camera Mounting:
The SDCM-1 is designed to mount into wire suspended drop ceilings and stud framed
drywall or plaster ceilings. To suspend the mount for drop ceiling installations,
heavy gage wire or &Mac185; - 20 rods should be installed into the fixed
slab above the finish ceiling and connect to the 2 mounting brackets on the side
of the unit. To mount the unit in a framed ceiling, a wood framed opening of
10 7/8" x 10 7/8" constructed with 2x4's should be provided.
The mounting brackets are removed and 6 screws shall mount the box through the provided holes.
The camera should be mounted to the removable mounting tray. The tray is removed by sliding the tray down, placing a screwdriver in the slide trace holes and removing the top-mounting tray only. This tray has predrilled holes for 1/4 -20 bolts. Use hardware in accordance to the camera's manufacture recommendations for mounting.
